Blessed with the gift of a golden voice, she first rose to national prominence in 2001 when she beat out more than 5,000 contestants to appear on the Irish version of Popstars. There was just one small problem: Nadine was only 16 years old at the time and the show’s rules clearly stipulated that all contestants had to be at least 18. IT SEEMS that trouble in girl band land is catching. Girls Aloud have taken a year off to pursue solo projects but Queen Bee Cheryl is still calling the shots. Kimberley, Nicola, Sarah and Nadine are banned from talking about Chezza during any interviews.Our source said: “It’s become obvious that Cheryl is the main talking point so the girls have been warned not to discuss her or her private life at all.“Miss Cole is quickly emerging as a massive star with her X Factor judging slot,possible US TV deals and this latest L’Oréal campaign. There’s a real fear that she could become too big for the band over the next year.”We now understand why the usually chatty Kimberley, right, was being so grumpy at Virgin Media Festival and wholeheartedly forgive her. Girls Aloud have revealed what they get up to after they finish performing a gig.The band, who recently confirmed that they are taking an extended break after completing their ‘Out Of Control’ tour, spoke about their routine for warming down in an interview with Sky 1.Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts said: “When we come off stage, our feet are like elephants. We usually find the nearest footbath and sit with our robes on discussing how the show went with our feet sizzling in buckets.”The girlband also admitted that they still feel nervous before they go on stage.Roberts said: “Knees trembling, eyes watering. Petrifying, scary.”
